What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. Thet are not the same anymore, for the other life is gone. A new Life has begun!'

It's hard to understand why Rihanna, who is a victim of domestic violence herself, is singing 'I like the way it hurts'.

Why for a second would she say that in one of her songs knowing what it feels like to be on the other side of a fist?

There is nothing 'alright' about this..... hmmm so strange.

I was at a talk a few weeks ago at which the speaker highlighted how in today's society women, and especially young women are being sexualised by the media. It's so true. One of the points she made which I remember was this; 
On the 'Dove' add which show's curvy women loving their bodies and who they are, it is emphasised that women should be secure and not super thin to feel good about themselves- which is great! 
The same company also made the 'Lynx' advertisement. This add show's skinny, tanned, gorgeous looking women running around in their bikini's. Young girl's who see these women feel bad about themselves. It's a fact. It is so ironic that the same people who encourage women to feel fabulous in the bodies that they have on 'Dove', change to the complete opposite when directing male add's, and conform to what society says 'men should love' and put half naked women on tv screens making a majority of women in today's society feel bad about themselves and at the same time convincing men that this is what's to love about women. Not their personality, not their standard of self-worth and not their character. All which have nothing to do with appearance.

In a man's magazine there was a competition to see who was voted 'hottest chick'. The girl who won wasn't even a real woman! She was 100% computer generated. The media sexualises women and young girls to an extent that many men have expectations which aren't realistic. I was shocked to hear my cousin tell me who is a teacher at a High school in the Western Suburbs, that a year 7 girl told expressed that she honestly believed that she, as a girl of 12-13years old, was good for nothing but to be a sex object for guys. 


As Women, we have worth, value and a purpose which was NOT created by the media or by the standard which men set for us, but first and foremost by God who created us equally to men to serve along side them, not for them. My God is my judge, and no man will ever tell me my worth or value. 


To all the beautiful Women in my life reading this, don't believe the lie the media sets for you. The only opinion which will matter in the end is God's, and he created you with such carefulness and love that despite the imperfections we may see, we are ALWAYS going to be perfect to Him.

Be wary of your influences.....Words mean nothing to God because he looks at the heart. You can fool everyone in your life with what you say and how you act but God always see through everything thats not real. Ok live for the moment.. but what are you going to do when its over?

Accountability is so important. Rejecting people who try do it out of love, not judgment, (and there's huge difference) is like jumping out of a plane with out a parachute. Romans 14:12 says, "So then each of us shall give account of himself to God". This is personal accountability.
My God is my rock. Simply because He's the only person on earth who's never let me down.

I had the blessing of getting to know one of my fellow classmates today whom I haven't talked to at all after being in his class for a whole year. He shared with me that he's from Iraq and is a Muslim. We talked about our religion exam then starting comparing beliefs. Probably had the most interesting conversation I've ever had with anyone at St.Marys. We explained each other's beliefs and morals in complete understanding and I grew in my appreciation for all the beautiful people in my life who are Islamic.
So many people have fallen victim to media propaganda towards this Islamic community. I know from living in the mountains which has the largest concentration of Caucasians in the whole of NSW, some people are pretty racists with their only evidence coming from what they've seen on Today Tonight. My friend who I talked to today agreed with me and doesn't blame those who are racist as it is largely the media.
He told me this story of when he was 7years old he was shopping with his mother who was wearing traditional Hijab. They were approached by an Aussie man in the supermarket who questioned her why she was wearing her traditional dress in Australia and that it 'wasn't our culture'. She ignored him and walked away to which he followed then stating 'Have you gotta bomb under there'? 'Ya gunna bomb this supermarket are ya?'. 
At 7years my friend had to defend his own mother against a racists Australian who couldn't handle the fact that it is within their belief that they cover up to remain in purity, which is stated in the Qur'an, and to honour her husband in only letting him see her body.

I've had so many conversations with people about God lately and the most common statement that has come up is 'This world is so bad' - If you think that then congratulations, because your right. The difference in loving God and submitting to the amazing life he has planned for you is that you don't have to face this bad world by yourself. The Person that will never leave you, the Person that has never doubted you, the Person who looks beyond all your discretions is the Person who's loves you the most. It is because of this love that you have a choice to live life by yourself, or with God. Some people decide it's not for them, I decided it the only thing for me.

There is always a choice. There is always 2 paths to take. One is easy, and it's only reward is that it is easy- unknown

"I just went out to get petrol. It’s a standard week-to-week event where I just go wherever is convenient. However today I felt drawn to a particular petrol station on Coreen Avenue. I was drawn there for the sole purpose that they are always cheap, even though BP across the road can be 10cents/litre more expensive this petrol station know how to have a good business. Anyways. There I was at number ‘1’ filling up my tank and behind me was another green P plater doing likewise. I noticed that he must have selected to only put in a certain amount of petrol based on his money option he chosen (I later found out it was $10) and was trying to get the most out of the hose; every last drop. I finished filling up and he was already inside about the pay."

"I walked in to realise he was swiping his 3rd card through the eftpos machine but the same ‘error’ beep was being heard. To this he went to his car to try and find coins or cash to pay his bill. Inside the shop the line progressed and I said to the shop attendant “I’d like to pay for 1 (mine) and 3 (his).” The shop attendant was confused, he thought I had moved my car and fueled up at two spots so I said it more clearer, “I’d like to pay for mine and the man in the white car” and to that he understood and allowed me to." 

"I walked outside to the man in the white car, at this stage he was on the phone calling a friend to bring him money for his petrol and I just said to him “You’re free to go, I’ve paid for you.” The man was shocked, he immediately said thank you and a moment of joy was shared between us."

I want my children's generation not to stand on shoulders of 'nothing' or people that feel they are 'wasting away' but on shoulder's which prepare them the world and inspire them to fight for what they believe in. If our future generation will go further then our's is, will it go further downwards or upwards???


 No one's waiting for 'nothing' as we are destined for greatness. Thankfully, God loved us enough to give us a free will so in seeking greatness we have the decision to decide what its worth and how far we'll go to reach it. 


I was pretty inspired by my Youth Paster's message tonight.. He talked about the lyrics in the song 'Airplanes' by BOD and  Hayley Williams.

'I'll believe it when I see it' just became 'I'll see it when I believe it'


If seeing is believing then there would be no concept of Faith  


So I will not let my eyes deceive me as the world would like me to, and believe first with knowledge and hope instead letting my eyes be my judge .

If seeing is believing then there would be no concept of Faith or Belief in someone having the ability to change from the inside. Instead, everyone will see change from the outside first as it is what they can physically see that gives 'proof'. The world will 'believe when they see' the change, but belief come first as change comes firstly from the desire within the heart.
